Hobbes gets right to work.

Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)

It was a short hop today to head to Sherwood Park and the Port Ordze site at Brittany and Carolyn's acreage. We caught up over some wine and then settled in.

Almost immediately, Hobbes wandered around the acreage; he obviously remembers the place. As we were preparing supper, he had already caught his first mouse.

Ahhh, the flat prairies again. Yes, when one grows up in Regina, the flat forever view of the prairies is in the blood. We started the day with a coffee visit with our hosts, a never ending conversation, but we did have to head out. Our first stop, Westlock! OK - we needed the grain elevator photo! Rumour has it, it won't be there for long. As we headed south on HWY 44 I snapped my quentessential golden prairie blue skies photo for the day.

Our Port Ordze hosts had their driveway tarmac cleared for docking the Schooner and we provided their lunch entertainment as they watched Lee parking and me directing. NOT coming to a theatre near you LOL.
