Cheese fondue in the outdoors.
Plamondon Whitesands Resort (2 stars)
Lee says - a busy business day. Second Covid shots, Chucks registration re-newed and groceries. Lac La Biche is a nice little town, as is Plamondon.
We had a cheese fondue on the picnic table, followed by a nice fire in the firepit. What a calm, peaceful night even though the campground is full and there are lots of kids.
Lez grin: Yes, a right fine day. Early off to Lac La Biche, and then a quiet afternoon in the cool of the Schooner. Catching up on emails, and taking life slowly.
Lee set up the picnic table with the fondue fixins, and we enjoyed the leisurely fondue under the poplar trees. Meanwhile, Hobbes sits at the entrance to our site and watches the big RV's go by. After dinner, I stoked up the firepit while Lee cleaned up the dinner dishes (and I think all day's dishes too !) Lazy evening, perfect temps, sounds of laughter, kids having fun, their bikes flying back and forth, along with the new RV's still rolling in for the long weekend, and subsequently parents having "fun" as darkness falls and the tents still need to be set up. Some RV sites include a small RV and a couple of tents. Groups of people at many sites. A soothing background mesh of sounds.
