Parks Canada has done a great job in describing life at Batoche and of the final battle. We toured the area and spent some time in the cemetery looking for the grave of a foremother of our neighbour Cami Atkinson at Surfside. Sure enough, we found the grave of Rosalie Letendre amongst some of the earliest sites in that cemetery.
