Ribs for the road.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park AB (2 stars)
Lee says - check the larder, check the job jar, check the tires. Make sure everything is ready to go.
We said goodbye to our tremendous hosts later in the day and headed back to whip up a final BBQ ribs dinner at Port Ordze. Tomorrow we head out on the road.
Lez is ready: Yes, it is time to move on and start the next phase of travel. The tethering is ready to be done, the back of the RV void of all the evidence of piles of fabric, boxes of threads, sewing machines and various paraphernalia that appear when docked at one spot for a few weeks.
We enjoyed an afterwork visit with our hosts - we are SO fortunate they are willing to have a big RV parked on their land, and have a great orange hunter prowling around their property. OK, he did take care of a mouse or two. I just hope no "treasures" will be found in the garden.
We loaded up with groceries and other supplies, and Lee did some last minute prep to be able to re-string our blinds in the next few days. The basement leaks have been dealt with, the tanks ready to drain in the morning, fresh water ready for "dry camping" LOL - which is how we started camping almost 50 years ago. The old body much prefers the comfort the Schooner offers compared to a two-man pup-tent! On to more roads less gravelled. BIG GRIN.
