Scooping the slides and bunching the branches.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park AB (2 stars)
Lee decided to do some yard cleanup and Lez joined him. The heavy snow had broken many branches around the acreage and a good layer was still resting on the Schooner slideouts. Lee and Lez proceeded to move broken branches and Lee scooped the slideouts clear of the snow.
While doing the cleanup they observed a murder of crows attacking an owl.
Lez was concerned: That owl was truly being attacked by the crows. Feathers were ruffled, and the crows were dive-bombing it. I sure hope it survived.
It was a very cool day and except for the venture to clear the roadway into the property, I stayed inside and worked on quilt blocks. And read the latest Quilts of Valour newsletter - and was totally surprised to find it featured yours truly! The Man and the kids all had a hand in sharing their thoughts as I spent so many hours volunteering. I was so proud of the kids - they have become quite the great adults and so articulate! Then came all the articles from others across the country. "Kleenex" declared a dividend yesterday. Yes, a wee teary-eyed. All their support means everything to me.
