Snipping the pasture.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park AB (2 stars)
After breakfast, Lee went out and mowed the pasture. He didn't leave as many bald spots as the first time. Those bald spots occur when you turn too sharp and the inside wheel actually turns backwards. That usually pulls all the grass out and leaves a mud spot. We added some water to the fresh tank and then tethered off both power and water so Lee could mow where the cords/hoses lie across the grass. Meanwhile, Lez was "cleaning house". Deb Krahn came by for another visit while Lee watched Brittany put through another 45 feet of wire through the sewer pipe from the new garage area. It got easier near the end which sounded good at the time but was an omen of bad things to come. Brittany checked their house basement and found that the sewer line had been cleaned right through to a drain in their basement. The room it is in was now filled with an inch of sludge. Lee helped out as they removed items from the floor of that room and tractored them over to the shop, while Brittany used the wet vacuum to soak up the gunk. Lee finished off with a nice shower and we then made wienerschitzel and spaetzle for supper. Near the end of the meal we had a nice video call with Karin and Marlin who now live in Hawaii. They are fine.
Lez muses: All in all a pretty quiet day, rain showers on and off - so it was a stay hunkered in the RV day.
