The Pacific Marine Circle Route.

Lee convinced Lez to drive a big circle, clockwise, on southern Vancouver Island. It is well marked and paved all the way.
The scenery varies from Pacific Ocean waves to old growth forest. About halfway is the quaint little town of Port Renfrew. There were wind surfers in the bay and RV's almost right on the beach at the Pacheedaht campground.
On the way from Port Renfrew to Lake Cowichan, we encountered several one lane bridges. Whoever gets there first, crosses first.
A great drive without the Schooner.
That Pacific Marine Circle Route is truly a great tour for a day trip. 98 photos for the day says it all! Again, we note - this is one beautiful country we live in!
A tailgate lunch was enjoyed with views of the world from a small spot we backed into beside a creek and a bridge to cross it. Not a lot of traffic just a lot of forest, blue skies and no wind!
