Red Streak Campground, Radium Hot Springs, BC (2 stars)
Lee is happy to note that the busy highway and train tracks in Canmore have been replaced by the silence in the Red Streak campground above Radium Hot Springs.
There is full sun and no wind, with a 20c temperature. Perfect.
The cameras were snapping away like crazy - it was as if we had never seen the Rockies before. Today's blue skies, bright sunshine lighting up the mountains, clear and turbulent rivers, trees turning gold, scraggy steep crevassed mountains and views to paint were captured in just under a hundred pictures. We won't share all, but if someone wanted a slide show of the Rockies - we certainly could offer one!
We can smell the firepit of the neighbours and smell the pines and fir trees around. We are enjoying the luxury of the RV and we are camping. Hobbes has done his walkaround the new surroundings and came in for treats and is now snoozing away in his basket in the sunshine at the back window.
