Waiting out the impending rain.
Tamarack RV Park, Grande Prairie, AB (1 star)
Lee convinces Lez that seeing Grande Cache in rain is not fun. She agrees. We will wait here near Grande Prairie for one more day (in the sunshine) and then head for Gregg Lake Campground north of Hinton tomorrow.
We spent the afternoon sitting on the picnic table and enjoying the sunshine. It was nice and warm and very little wind. When it did blow, we saw a shower of golden leaves floating to the ground.
We'll re-assess the weather situation in the morning and stay put for the day and enjoy the sunshine, warm weather and slight breeze at the Tamarack. We have the services, although cell usage is quite iffy. One minute you are connected and the next - nope. A little frustrating when I wanted to research some details from the web for the blog.
So, instead of connecting with the rest of the world, I decided this would be the perfect time to finish the binding on a quilt that will go to Quilts of Valour - Canada. The quilt top was started back when we lived in the big house in Edmonton and a QOVC quilting bee was held at the La Perle community hall. It has been travelling with us, with the intention of getting it done much sooner than this. Yup - a true UFO. I will be able to leave it with a QOVC rep out on the coast. Just a little left to call it done, so, with my entry in the blog done I can work at the back table.
I trust all is well with you and your world and you are still enjoyng the many (too many) photos that we share.
