The dreaded nail cutting experience.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)
Lee hears Lez say gently that we should cut Hobbes's nails. This is not a procedure we have been looking forward to but his claws are getting into the bed quilt.
Surprisingly, it went well. Neither of us have bloody wounds and Hobbes was only mildly ticked off. That should do it for a few months.
I headed out in the morning for a hip ultrasound. There were a few people ahead of me, although we booked times, appointments always run longer. I stopped afterwards to catch up with a Macarena gathering, but was unable to find where they were at the designated complex. Headed back to the Schooner, and totally forgot to make a stop in the west end. The roads were all busy, and, of course a couple of road construction spots backed up traffic.
Back "home" in the Schooner, I was ready to enjoy an afteroon nap.
Lee BBQ'd another fantastic skewered chicken dinner, which we enjoyed with home grown potatoes and purple beans from our hosts. Yes, purple - and really good! It was somewhat cooler today, and tonight more clouds are rolling in. Mammatus clouds. Time to make a coffee and enjoy the firepit.
