Al steals the show.

Lee recalls the few times where we have gone to a concert or festival and the warm-up artist out-played the main act. It happened again today. Doug and the Slugs are a iconic Canadian band and Starship is an iconic California band dating back to the 70's as Jefferson Airplane. They both entertained us. The Tubes from California played a forgetful and painful set. The night belonged to Al Harlow and Prism. They sounded much better than when we last saw them in St. Albert Rainmaker Rodeo concert in 2017. Al had the crowd in the palm of his hand. When they started into Armageddon, Al asked everyone to stand for the 'national anthem'. And everyone did, as they cut into the great opening part of that song. Priceless. They were worth the price of admission.
It' +23C and 75% humidity at 9 a.m. A 'risk' of thunderstorms this afternoon. Could be interesting!
Well Mother nature held off the rain - and we enjoyed a great night of old Regina rock and roll. This is the 7th time we have seen Prism, the 2nd time we've seen Doug and the Slugs, and first for Starship.
We had a chance to say 'hi' to Tammy Hicks who was working at the concession, great hugs! The Hicks' family are long-standing friends, and we have known Tammy since she was a wee one. LOL, it's wonderful to see the beautiful adult she has become - but it sure brings home our own ages that start with a 7. Ahh, all good memories, and now making more.
