Lee notes that SK Highway 3 has, for the most part, patches upon patches. More tethering will need to be done in the Schooner now that we have a 'smooth' vinyl plank floor.

Shellbrook was an interesting place. Their train station was a museum at one time but is now empty and abandoned. A sad sight. The signal arms permanently provide some directions to the engineer in trains that no longer arrive here.

We had just enough time to see Leona Kelly. She is going to Edmonton with one of her daughters for a break. Bob will be batching it for a few weeks.

We are settled in at Bob and Leona's after a very bumpy trip along the highway. To be fair, they are also working on the road and it will soon be a smoother ride, but we will have moved on by then! We had a wonderful evening with the Kelly clan around their dining room table, a Scrabble game on the go and conversation to no end. Lots of memories and they were curious as to what we were doing and where we have been!
