Yah, ok, let's throw that away.
VIP Motel, Parksville BC (2 stars)
We spent the morning at the storage unit, sizing up the stuff and getting the tarp installed in the box of Chuck (you never know, it might rain on the way to Edmonton and water does sometimes get in a bit).
This evening Lee put on Radio Player Canada on his laptop and we listened to Edmonton's K-97 radio. We're not sure why it took so long to do so, but it sure sounded good. More rock and roll in an hour than a week on the Vancouver Island stations.
The storage locker is looking a little less crowded. No, it is not all cleared out yet. We have so much "stuff"!
Our motel room is comfortable. It is a kitchenette room with two queen beds. One for us and one for catching all the things we bring in - cameras, personal belongings. food (dry goods), LOL.
We really finally feel like it's time to go "home". Listening to K-97 Edmonton on Radio Player Canada , we realized how much we miss Edmonton. We will be ready to rent an apartment and enjoy the home where we don't need to deal with things that need fixing.
It will be great to connect with family and friends again and not be just visiting.
We will miss visiting our friends, cousins and family out here on the island, but we know we are a drive or plane ride away.
