If that candle could talk. The things it has seen and the places it has been. It will grace our dining table once we re-settle in Edmonton.
We have been travelling, as you know, travelling and living in the Schooner - our 5th wheel RV. No regrets. Every evening meal includes lighting a candle we have anchored in a wine bottle. It drips and I do not want a dripless candle. Yes, wax pieces fall off. When we travel I wrap the candle delicately and it travels in the kitchen sink .
Oh what we have seen and done in that time frame. Western Canada from the "wet coast" to the Manitoba-Ontario border, all the while, with few exceptions, sleeping in our own bed. The time has come, to say "get organized in the Schooner in order to de-personalize" . We have embarked upon repairing or replacing things that are "not up to snuff". Our biggest challenge, I think, will be the replacement of the vinyl planking strips on the floor showing wear and tear. Curtains and blinds are in great condition.
