Lee knows we are into a cashless world and we are probably the better for it. We cannot survive without tap anymore, he thinks.

But, today's experience was unacceptable. While buying some groceries (using tap of course) I asked the clerk to change a five dollar bill into five loonies. We needed some because the Surfside RVV Resort laundry facilities only take loonies.

Well, the clerk's reply was - we don't do that. So, I asked, can I do that at Customer Service. She replied they don't that.

I left the groceries on the belt and walked out. A frank note to Thrifty Foods customer care ensued.

This winter I have not participated in the Parksville Quilt House Quilt Guild membertship. I feel I have enough UFO's - unfinished objects - that could use my attention. That, and a 1000 piece puzzle.
