We enjoyed a nice walk on the Sea Wall today. Besides the usual birds, we noticed a seiner (a fishing trawler to you flatlanders) presumably fishing for herring not far off the beach.
Lez still at the sewing machine. An idea has been "percolating" for another "woven" quilt - where you cut strips of one colour, and then weave in strips of a contrasting colour. I also teach that technique and have had a lot of fun making quilts from "wiggly strips". I must find one for today's blog! I started with two 14" squares of contrasting fabric and by day's end had the quilt ready for adding the sewing machine touches to finish it off.
