Two wheelers pulled out, it must be spring.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

All three of us spent a lot of time outside in sunny, warm weather. Hobbes actually wandered (twice) more than six RV lots away from home. Lez and I also spent a lot of time talking to neighbours about anything and everything. All the while, a Blue Heron sat motionless across and down from the Schooner. They are amazing.

It must have been the sun, because it felt like time to get the bikes out. Four flat tires will be dealt with tomorrow and maybe a small ride planned also.

Lez is warm: No furnace on, no fireplace on. Today's warm sun had the Schooner feeling very toasty. I spent a lot of the day working on the maple leaf quilt block, finally pleased with the new pattern. Now, only 14 more blocks to make. And then write down those instructions to make a real pattern.

The bikes have been untethered from the back of the RV, and now adorn Chuck. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be like today - so we should be able pump up the tires and take them for the first spin since last summer.

I am the host for Ladies Night tonight - love these good new days - because in the "good old days" there is no way I could have video conferenced with 11 other longstanding VERY good friends together in a chat room.
