High tides and misty moors.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

After breakfast, these four kayakers came up the estuary right to our leg of it, paddled to the end and then retraced their steps back out. So strange to see. And, after a few hours, where they had paddled was now showing as solid ground. Tides are amazing. We walked up in the sunshine to buy a few essentials and then wandered back. All the neighbours were out and enjoying the weather.

Lez sighs: Another lazy morning - but one of mist or fog that closed in our world. Then, as we sat having late breakfast, out of the mist on the estuary out paddled four kayakers - silently slowly emerging from the mist to the section of the estuary in front of us. Kind of creepy actually!
