A rainy drive to Hope.
Map - Clearwater to HopeHope Valley Campground, Hope BC (1 star)
Lee notes that it rained all day today, with a few dry moments whenever we stopped somewhere. Not sure why we are always so lucky.
We have stayed in Hope Valley campground before, but today was a little more irritating. The sewer connection has no screw top so the hose cannot be attached securely. And, we are getting spotty internet access via our phones and even using the campground's internet service. Not worth the 52 bucks.
We awoke to a grey day - something that we had almost forgotten existed! We have had such great sunshine weather since I cannot recall. However, we are very comfortable, warm and dry in Chuck our truck pulling the Schooner along without incident. Roads somewhat bumpy (being kind here) and a few items inside the RV managed to have a lttle party. The medicine cabinet is always one that ends the travel with all items on their shelf, either flat, or leaning against each other - reminds me of a life a long time ago, after a party with friends. BIG grin.
Along the way today Chuck turned 71,000 kms. Yup. All of those K's in our possession, and a large portion pulling the Schooner. This moment was recorded at 10:49 AM. We just missed noting the K's at 10:10 10/10. To complete the records, we took possession of Chuck on Thursday, July 30, 2020.
Yes, we name our vehicles. Before Chuck we had Charlie, and before Charlie we had Mike, and before Mike we had Clyde. Clyde is infamous for being the one we used one day to drop off scrap metal in Edmonton, and the worker asked if we wanted to keep the tires and battery - referring to Clyde.
