Deb Woods and I do Italian.
The Deb Woods guest suite, Victoria BC
OK, so don't always trust Google Maps, or at best, keep you eye on the screen. I don't have the cellphone up on the dash, so I did not notice that it had changed my route from Flo's place to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
Not terrible, but I did drive on 0 Avenue for a long time. That road lies a meter or two inside the American Canadian border. Interesting to see all the same.
The ferry ride was uneventful.
I hooked up with an old friend,Deb Woods, who was married to our good friend Aubrey Eichel. He passed away a few years ago. Deb and I caught up on things, each of us having gone through the same process of losing our partners in life.
My hairdresser had recommended a nice Italian restaurant in Victoria to me, so Deb and I went to check it out. It was as good, or better even, than what Rocky had recommended to me. We had a great Italian meal with some great wine from Puglia. Afterwards, we wandered through Beacon Hill Park.
Deb has bought an old house in her home town of Tyvan, Saskatchewan. It's apparently quite a fixer-upper, but she works at it every time she travels back to there. I hope to see her in July in Regina.
