It's a long, long beach.

We drove over to Incinerator Rock at the north end of Long Beach today, Lee climbed one of the rocks (and met up with a beautiful Harlequin Great Dane cross) while Lez filmed the activities from below on the sand.

We spent an hour or so sitting on our lawn chairs on the beach admiring the surf, the surfers and the waves.

On the way home we stopped in at a place we had been many, many years ago. It's the Wild Side Grill located in a small shopping area filled with surf shops called Outside Break. It was great, but don't look up - the crows were waiting for whatever we left behind on the picnic table.

A long day at a long beach, and long ago memories of being at that beach.

A very long time ago we had a Great Dane, and it was a treat to seeing this one enjoying wandering over the obsidian rock formation. He had no issues as he wandered all over the lava formed Incinerator Rock. I wisely set up a lawn chair and watched the climbers, and the surfing crowd as they did their best to stay on their boards for a decent run with the curling waves. I enjoyed getting lots of (aka too many) photos of the beach, surf and people enjoying it all.

Yes, surf is much higher in other parts of the world, but this is still enough of a challenge and a thrill for the boarders. There were also lots of people enjoying the clear blue skies, warm sun and agile surf boarders. The outdoor Wild Side Grill in Outside Break Tofino offered a large menu and a lazy meal was enjoyed. Even sharing with the crows.
