Streetheart played at the River Cree Event Centre tonight, just seven days after I had seen them at Cornstock 2026 in Taber. A fabulous show, the band was tight and the sound was great.
Jeff acknowledged Lezley at the end of the show with that pat to his heart and pointing to the sky. Very nice.
Lee Aaron opened the show tonight. She is another Canadian female vocalist with an amazing ability to bring it out loud. However, the sound mix could have been better because her voice was largely lost behind the guitarist and drummer volume.
And it didn't help her cause for me because I had just heard Sass Jordan at Cornstock. Sass was more powerful and the sound mix was perfect to hear that great voice.
All in all though, not bad for two women who can still belt it out even though both them are in their early sixties.
