In less than 30 minutes, we drive from southern Alberta prairie land dotted with wind turbines to a mountain lake surrounded by pine forest, clear water and tall mountains.
Along the way we see many large ranches and cows. The small stop of Twin Butte has an old country store, a post office and a cafe called the Angry Goat.
Even though it is mid-week in late September, there is a line-up of vehicles wating toget into the park.
