We took a short trip to Regina and area today. This was our third Shake the Lake music festival we have attended. Great music over two days.

Lee's sister Karin and husband Marlin came from Hawaii for the week. Alec and Mimi also drove down from Edmonton, so we had a bit of a Zwaal family gathering. Lee's brother, wife Marg and daughter Sarah and husband Dakota were also there.

We also spread mom Worel's ashes in the Qu'Appelle valley, as per her wishes. Alec and Mimi joined us for that, as well as Lez's sister Mary.

Questionable highway pavement in some areas, a HUGE piece of machinery being slowly hauled down the Yellowhead east of Saskatoon were a couple of delays, bfut we got there by early evening.

We decided to stay close to Piet and Marg's trailer at Katepwa Beach. The place has only one hotel, but we slept well. As Jack Reacher says in his television series - never underestimate the charm of a seedy motel.
