The ravine is full of delicious Saskatoon berries.     [Jul 17, 2025]

Poking through the Saskatoon bushes.

We took our ice cream pails across the street today into the ravine undergrowth and picked Saskatoon berries. It reminded us of growing up in Regina and picking them in the Cottonwood Valley near Lumsden.

It seems a lot tougher to pick the Saskatoons now than when we were young. Maybe it has to do with the old bones and muscles in our bodies. We needed a snooze when we got back to the apartment.
