That's it, the end of election work.

Lee got the call to monitor Canada Post's work in loading and removing all documents from the Edmonton North-West election office today. He had helped fill hundreds of boxes destined for Elections Canada in Ottawa since getting back from the Netherlands trip.

Canada Post's contract courier showed up with a number of metal crates called monotainers. They then packed the boxes into those monotainers and loaded them into their truck. Oops. Their truck wasn't big enough to hold all the monotainers, so Lee and Lez were back a few hours later for them to take the rest.

That's it. The rented commerical space is empty and Lee's election work is over.

Another Canadian election under my belt. It is quite a privilage to be involved in making it possible for our citizens to be able to vote freely and know the voting we all do is private and will be counted. When the ballots are counted, there is no indicator who filled out that ballot. This will no doubt be the last election I will be working, as my short term memory is a fact of my life, and in another four years, will no doubt be unable to handle such a task .

I will recommend workng for any one of our elections to any eligible Canadian citizen. New skills, and a wee bonus - new friends.
