Planes, trains and automobiles, and a tram too.
We came home today after a wonderful trip to the Netherlands.
First, a tram to Rotterdam Central station. Then a train to Schiphol airport. Next, a plane ride to Edmonton. And finally, a car ride home to our apartment.
The public transit in the Netherlands is so easy. Just tap on and tap off. The country has gone cashless (there are signs at most places like restaurants that say "tap only, no cash). We picked up some Euro cash before we left; I will be exchanging it all back to dollars in the next few days.
To quote a fiction character, "There's no place like home". Only I didn't click my heels and make a wish. As wonderful as adventures and visits with Lee's Dutch relatives, it feels good to be back home, enjoying a beverage on our balcony.
