We noticed that the wildfire smoke was getting thicker as the day went on.
We packed a lunch and headed over to the CN mainline to take some close-up train pictures. At a small crossing, we sat for over an hour until a train came by. Photos taken, we headed home.
We actually spent 2 hours at the CN crossing, according to the time stamps on the photos! It was a very lazy time, beautiful sunny weather and no bugs biting! Waiting for the train felt like a lot longer than that, LOL, I guess kind of like the phrase "waiting for paint to dry". Only the view of the forest and critters is a lot more interesting.
