Bearly a quiet moment.
Blue Cedars RV Park, Prince George BC (2 stars)
A bear in the campground. Should be no surprise. He was trying to get into the lidded garbage can like a scene from Yellowstone Park in the 50's.
Lee had to look twice at the neighbour's rig and their truck. It is a European fifth wheel and is being pulled by a European spec'd Ram pickup. Still kind of strange to see German license plates on it. The only difference Lee noted was that the side badge showed HemiTorque, a badge not seen in North America.
This is bear country. As we are updating blogs and catching up on various emails, Lee looks out his window to see a huge black bear poking around the campground's garbage disposal bins. The bear, on his hind feet is taller than the bin and is pulling out bags of garbage which, of course, contain campers food leftovers. A big pickup truck heads towards the bear, horn blowing to successfully scare it back into the forest. We are in the bear's territory, and must keep that in mind.
