Thunder throughout the day.
Triple G Hideaway RV Park, Fort Nelson BC (2 stars)
Some more iffy weather, so we decided to divide and conquer. Lee went down to the office and did a couple of loads of laundry while Lez defrosted the fridge. After that, we had an A and W lunch and picked up some groceries. A visit to the Fort Nelson Visitor Centre also made us aware of a couple of places to explore. We may be here for a few more days.
The late afternoon was filled with some pet experiences. A couple in a site next to us travels with a Great Pyrenees dog that had been inhumanely treated and they nursed it back to health, both physically and mentally. Then another RV showed where, once settled in, they gave their cat a bath. We had never tried that with any of our cats at the risk of drawing blood. And lastly, an RV a few sites over has all the windows covered up from the outside, are apparently away, and their dog is moaning incessantly. That's no way to treat a pet in our opinion.
Humidity is high, and the rains came down in buckets. Exploring the area will wait. Yes, even while traveling we must keep in mind a few chores. Good day to defrost the fridge. It's interesting what you find - long past expiry dates. Nothing fuzzy this time - grin.
We have neighbours who are from the state of New York. Long ways from home!
