Bump, swerve, dip, whoa, pothole and dust.

Lee feels today was a lazy day. I know Lez will say Lee drove a long distance, but it was a lazy drive. Sure, he was dodging potholes, following a pilot vehicle through wet mud, and slowing to wait for total white-out dust to settle (maybe that should be a total yellow-out).
He managed to snag a 15 amp site at Pioneer RV in Whitehorse, where we had stayed a couple of weeks ago. The place is jammed full with an American caravan of Airstreams probably going to Alaska. We were made aware of these caravans (arranged a year ahead) by the RV park operator in Stewart, BC.
Just as Lee was able to put the stabilizers down, down came the rain, the hail and the lightning. How tight was his time He had just enough time to grab a bottle of wine from the outside kitchen. Priorities.
Today, with Schooner in tow, we headed out on the return journey along the Klondike Highway (also known as Highway 2). Generally travelling south, we continue Roads Less Gravelled. Oh, about those roads. It is road repair season - and we are right in the middle of loose gravel and road construction crews and other travellers like ourselves. Lee put in a gruelling 500+ kilometers today. BUT we did get a few photos.
We have settled back in a Whitehorse campground for a night, and docked just in time to stay reasonably dry when a true thunderstorm hit. The ground became a sandy soupy mess in seconds, and plans for a tailgate BBQ were quickly scrapped.
