Lez and mom left for the mainland to see Ralph early in the morning. That left Hobbes with plenty of time to take Lee for walks. Mom and Lez decided to stay in White Rock for the night, so Lee and Hobbes had the bed all to themselves.

Lee thinks that Hobbes misses Lez.

Lez yawns: It was a very long day, as mom and I drove to visit Ralph in White Rock. Sounds easy! It is the Thursday before Easter weekend. Everyone off the island is coming to visit family on the island and everyone on the island wants to visit family on the mainland. As we approached the Duke Point ferry, signs tell us a two ferry wait. And even that could be a maybe! SO, we park her car and go on as foot passengers. A cab on the mainland gets us to a hotel close to the hospital so we can drop off luggage and then on to the hospital. Ralph is still in major pain, and we stay for the afternoon keeping him company and just being there with him. I keep wondering what would cause his autoimmune disorder where the body's natural defenses against "foreign" or invading organisms (e.g., antibodies) begin to attack healthy tissue for unknown reasons. I keep thinking back to that Scorpion bite in Mexico. Did that set off his current condition
