Light speed taxes.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee decided to do our tax returns today. He fired up the tax prep software, downloaded all T-4's, entered a medical summary and pushed GO. Less than half an hour later he had an email from Revenue Canada indicating they had received and approved our returns and refunds were on the way to our bank. Done.

It's hard to remember the good old days, isn't it. Go to the post office to pick up a tax return envelope, sharpen your pencil, find a calculator, grab all the T-4's, fill in two copies of the actual returns, find two stamps, mail off the return envelope and wait to see what happens. Wow. No thanks.

Lez measures up: We have decided to replace the fan-fold curtains in the RV with cotton panels that can be pulled to the side or left plain to hang. In order to do that meant getting out the measuring tape and see just how much fabric will be needed, and to get an idea of how the curtains will be made to accommodate various window sizes and will also match the decor. It looks like it will be about 11 meters of fabric. Sure hope something is on sale at Fabricland in Nanaimo tomorrow!

A night walk as we often enjoy had us noting only three places with lights on in their RV's. OK, so it was 10 pm. LOL - it is truly a retirement community.
