That new BBQ is hot.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

What's better than a new BBQ - a new BBQ that requires no assembly. And the first steaks tasted pretty good also.

Lez takes burps with a filled sigh: BBQ T-bone steak! Added a few roasted veggies and yes - spring is here. LOL - somewhat different than our first BBQ dates back in Edmonton.

We started off going for a walk to pick up a few groceries - a trip up the hill on Corfield Street to the old Island Hwy 19A that follows the shoreline of the island. Pretty much all we need is within a couple of blocks. The post office still hasn't received a package we are waiting for, so Lee followed up with Canada Post. We will likely see it Tuesday - as the outlet is closed weekends, and Monday is Family Day holiday. Weather was cool, but with no wind was very pleasant.

Photos were edited, the blog received some needed attention, and the day was a very quiet one. My quilt s ready to have the binding attached, so that will be tomorrow's focus.

A walk after sunset had us back at the sea wall - where the Salish Sea was quite still and the lights of French Creek shone in the distance stretched across the water. No camera, no photos. No moon, skies cloudy. I suspect the night won't be as cold as predicted.
