How come we didn't date those photos back then.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee's brain is working overtime. There are many photos with no date or description on the back. Who they are is usually easy to figure out, but the date it was taken no so much. He looks at photos with one of the kids in them, speculating on their age and then guestimating what year the photo was taken.

A quick walk through Surfside shows that the company hired to clear up the seawall is just about half done by noon today. We'll be walking the the seawall path before you know it.

Grandma Worel invited us out to French Creek for dinner. We had a nice time with her as usual. Ralph stayed home and mom brought him some fish and chips after we were done our meals.

Lez notes quilting is spent mostly in preparing, threading, cleaning the machine, re-setting the tensions. I also have a design for wolf paw prints that I am using for the quilting lines. This means making several copies of the pattern on a newsprint thin paper, and safety pinning them to the three layers of the quilt. You then stitch on the lines for a consistent pattern. Sounds easy, and it is. However, anything easy has a however.

We took a time out from our photos and quilting and picked up a few groceries. Coombs Market (Goats on the Roof) is closed for a couple of months as they do every year. I may just have to learn to candy my own salmon!

Dinner and conversation with mom was great! We returned home right stuffed - the French Creek Pub makes the best fish and chips. Thank you mom!

Re-fueled, the rest of the evening saw the finish of the wolf paw quilting. Will deal with the 'however' tomorrow.
