Ballet, er, ballot boxes swirl around the election office.

Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)

Lee went into the election office today to help with the official opening of the ballot boxes so important documents could be extracted. The remainder was bagged by poll number and stored in a box for transport to Elections Canada.

It is tedious and uninteresting work, until some of the folks decide to create towers of the empty ballot boxes. It got to ten or eleven boxes high before swirling and collapsing.

By end of the afternoon, all ballot boxes were empty and scattered around. Cleanup on Monday.

Lez drops Lee off at work and heads out for an adventuresome day. Dropping of a few things here and there, and spending 3 hours at a laundromat. Yup - pretty spectacular adventure hey I stopped for tea at Les's place - our prior next door neighbour. We have been cut-thru-the-fence friends for years - both our families of boys spent a lot of time together until the high school years. Les is one of the "Macarena" Ladies night group. Her yard is beautiful this year! As is in the rest of the city, the trees are green, gold and red. Some all on the same tree! And her flowers are still in bloom - a mature backyard for sure.

I really didn't see into our old yard, her trees and shrubs have grown in so nicely and hide the fence that used to be missing a board. Good memories of our world in La Perle.

I just won't miss another one of Edmonton winters, as we are starting to think travel packing again.
