Door width, flange width, which width.

Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)

Lee headed out to see about a new Schooner roof vent cover (we bust up the existing one each time we arrive or leave Port Ordze due to the low hanging branches on the driveway). At the same time, he decided to look for a replacement for the Schooner entry step (known as the diving board). Knowing how the better ones work, he measured the opening and headed for Arrkann RV. Stop me if you've heard this one before. Got it home and it was two inches too narrow. They sold him the door width size instead of the opening size. Vroom, vroom, back to Arrkann and the correct one will be here on Tuesday. Lucky they are only five minuites away.

Lez moves outside: It was a cool morning inside the RV, but it felt like time to catch fresh air! Out came the camping tables, and the afore mentioned package of fabric. I brought the sewing machine and all acroutrements for quilt making outside and set up to sew the day away. Many blocks were made as the day rolled on and the weather got hotter again. I was in the shade and with ice tea made yesterday, enjoyed sewing listening to the crows, chickadees and squirrels, watched the new Canada Geese learning to fly in formation, and chatted with Hobbes who wandered in and out all day.

Our evening was spent initiating the hosts' firepit after its re-location and new sod surrounding. As always, lots of reminiscing of so many events we have attended together - from here to Europe. Lots of car talk, sharing growing up stories through to plans upcoming.

A tiny couple of sprinkles didn't even send us running for cover. It was a wonderful firepit evening.
