On the end of a shovel.

Port Ordze, Sherwood Park AB (2 stars)

We woke to another beautiful day. After breakfast, Lee started on some more yard work. That included shovelling the vegetation and mud along the edge of the driveway. He took many load of compostable material to the back of the property. Meanwhile, Lez went shopping for goodies to be enjoyed with the Zeisslers after work. In the afternoon, Deb Krahn visited. She was quite impressed with the Schooner and somewhat jealous of our travel plans. She also gave us a lot of insight into travel, particularly in the Yukon and Newfoundland. After her visit we joined Zeisslers on their patio for some appies, wine and lots of conversation and laughs. We ended the evening with our own coffee, ensconced in the Schooner.

Lez adds: Deb Kran and her hubby Norm have done a lot of travel across Canada in their trailer, with two dogs and a cat. They have been to many of the places we want to see and we added more sights to see - and left Deb ready to hit the road again! Deb and I are "new" friends as me met only a year ago - through quilting of course!
