Un-beleeevable, again.

Beehive RV Park and Campground, Mill Bay, BC (no stars)

We had a great time with Aubrey and Debra in Victoria. A nice Thanksgiving dinner and lots of laughs and chats.

We drove home from Victoria and got to the RV Park before 11:00 pm. We found the gate locked! Huh! Never mind us, how do emergency vehicles get in during the night. We left Chuck outside the gate and hauled our stuff in on a short walk.

This RV Park has been a convenient location for the various things we have done over the last few days but other than that, this is a crap hole of a facility. Avoid at all costs.

What a SUPER visit with very long-standing friends Aubrey and Deb. And did we think to take any photos with the cameras we brought along. DOH! Didn't even think to use the cell phone camera.

We last saw them in April and it was great to catch up. The time flew - far too fast. A very tummy full and a very thankful Thanksgiving - to be able to spend with friends.

The surprise ending to our day was finding the gate to the RV park chained and locked. A first in over 3 years of Roads Less Gravelled across western Canada. First reaction - what if emergency services needed in. What if someone in the campground need to get out - for any number of scenarios. We were lucky that our spot was very close to the entrance - otherwise I might have just laid on the horn. As it was, we were somewhat concerned about the truck. If the RV park was concerned enough about locking people out - were those being discouraged a group who would potentially do harm to campers' vehicles - so was our truck safe outside the gates. We won't recommend or stay there again.
