The Saturday Market did not disappoint.

Beehive RV Park and Campground, Mill Bay, BC (no stars)

Lee thinks he's done pretty good this morning - he got Lez out of bed, had breakfast and were on the road by 8:30 am. Wow.

We hooked up with Pat and Marj O'Hara in Duncan. After coffee and muffins, we headed to the downtown Duncan Saturday market. This was a very pleasant stroll which included a Saskatoon berry stand. Lee was impressed and of course bought some jam and syrup.

We then headed over to the local hockey arena and photo'd the world's largest hockey stick attached to the side of the arena. Very cool.

We spent a lazy afternoon with them and headed home to the Schooner in Mill Bay at supper time. Hobbes was waiting for us - some treats and his soft food soon settled him down.

As I look at the clock at 8:07 A.M. drinking a great cuppa coffee after breakfast, I do a double look - 8 AM! There are two 8 o'clocks in a day! Well, time to head to Marj and Pat's in Duncan - a visit with long-standing friends and a Fresh Market!

Well, what a wonderful day we had with them. Marj and I met working together at the Earthly Goods quilt store in Edmonton many years back and have kept in touch and spent many days sewing together after the store closed its doors. Her quilts and quilted artwork adorn her walls. She is a fantabulous quilter - with some very interesting techniques.

As the guys sat in the living room, watching sports and talking, we sat in Marj's quilt haven and talked up a storm, catching up on our worlds - they moved out to the island several years ago. I do miss the Tuesday quilt days at her place, along with Ev and Fran and Janet.

When we got home, (back to the RV), Hobbes was ready to go outside and check out his property. As we wandered with him, we were able to catch a bright moonrise - and photos duly taken for the blog.
