Cousins are special.

A thoroughly relaxing day, Lee concludes. Lazy breakfast, lazy lunch, and then we headed out to the Mission Bridge picnic area in Matsqui.

What a nice time we had with cousin Flo and her husband, Bruce. We talked for hours, literally, about everything under the sun. It was so nice to catch up after a few years.

Well, the smoky skies are clearing somewhat this morning, only to make visible - cloud cover! They are the thin cirrus, but still the first clouds we have seen in weeks! As I type, it is not yet noon. More adventures await the day!

The afternoon was spent with cousins Bruce and Flo at a picnic table beside the lazy Fraser River. We caught up on several years of not seeing each other, and then sharing stories of adventures and life. It was a SUPER afternoon, and we talked away until the sun was slowly setting.

On the way back to the Schooner we stopped for a few groceries - and when we came out it was pitch dark! We didn't think we'd been in there THAT long!
