Tiny streets, tiny parking lots.

Wapiti Campground, Canmore, AB (1 star)

Lee went for a couple of things while Lez was at the Quilt Show. Geez, these Canmore Streets are small and appear to have, as they say in California, grown organically. In other words, haphazardly and unplanned. And the parking lots are made for a few, small vehicles. Chuck had a great time manoevering through them. The good thing is that when it came to a showdown in a narrow area the other party would always back away. There's something about Chuck's imposing nose that makes the Smart, the Prius or the Tesla back off.

The campground is comfortable, but noisy from the trains and highway, Everyone seems to have a dog with them. We slept very soundly as usual despite the noise.

Canmore Rockies Quilt Show - and I've been asked to give an info session on a binding technique for quilting!

Quilters from all over Canada are here today and tomorrow - taking in quilt classes, info sessions and a display of quilts that are stunning. They were also from all over Canada. Various western Cdn quilt supply vendors were also at the quilt show - and it was great to catch up with some, as I hadn't been to a quilt show for some time. I attended the info session a quilter gave on making pillow cases so there are no raw edges to fray. She called it Burrito pillow cases. LOL I fine-tuned a pattern idea years ago - and at the time referred to them as "Hot Diggity Dog". It actually felt quite good to see a concept off and running and being shared.

Catching up was a great surprise when Pam Robertson Rivet, a QOVC rep and regonal coordiator, and I connected - without planning. We ended up talking for almost three hours about quilting, life and quilting, guilds, the virtues of using Zoom for meetings LOL - and so much more.

Lee had the day to himself, after dropping me off - and Pam brought me back to the RV.
