Map - Olds to Rocky Mountain House

Centennial Campground, Rocky Mountain House, AB (2 stars)

Off to Rocky Mountain House we go. We get about ten clicks outside of Olds and realize we need gas. Whoops. We decide to continue on to Sundre as we watch the fuel level drop and estimated clicks left on the tank reaches below 100. But we make it with lots to spare, which is Lee's way of saying there was at least ten litres left in the tank.

The Rocky campground is well treed and quiet. We back in to a short site on the first try - we are getting better and better at this. We finish the day with a nice steak on the BBQ as we make plans for tomorrow.

Today was truly an unremarkable day. We moved along more roads less gravelled, leaving later than usual, and tethering the Schooner for the road in record time. I do chuckle about the gas - according to Chuck we had 170 km's worth of gas in the tank and we only needed to go 120 km. Speaking of gas - we are enjoying seeing FasGas at 139.9.

Once settled into the Centennial Campround, we realized there was a fun baseball tournament going on across the road, and the cheers, and bat connecting pops filled the air. It was a heart-warming background sound of friends enjoying a fun day.

It was a good day to poke on the internet, updating our blog and editing and choosing which photos to publish on the site. We hope you are still enjoying following our travels. We really have no record of who has popped in, nor have we gathered any hit counts on the site.

We pulled out and BBQ'd one of the two NY Strip Steaks from Wild Bros - Meat and Cheese in Lethbridge for the BBQ tonight. Once again pleased at our chance choice to stop there to replenish our meat needs. The Growler beer refilled at Oldman River Brewing in Lundbreck went well with dinner.
