Swift and windy.

Map - Regina to Swift Current

Kilton Hill Campground, Swift Current, SK (1 star)

We have a swift run to Speedy Creek (Swift Current) without really stopping. We then moored in at Kilton Hill Campground and faced a typically stiff prairie wind coming from up over the hill. Wonderful feeling if you are a prairie person.

We caught a nice sunset over the wheat fields. Even Hobbes took a moment to stop and smell the wheat.

Well, we certainly didn't rush to leave the Kings Acres, but packing up has become a quick and easy set of tasks. A rare packing in the rain! As we headed west, the skies cleared and we were in for another very hot day.

We did enjoy our stay in Regina. We did not get to see everyone we wanted, so we will definitely be back there. Not sure when the next time will be for us to go through - perhaps the year we head to adventures into eastern Canada. There is still so much to see in this vast land and so many friends to connect with again. Family is there too - so it is always a whirlwind of visiting.

Over the years we have been to our next destination when Alf and Ann Poulter lived in Maple Creek. We did stay in the Kilton Hill campground in August of 2020 and are looking forward to being there again. We have some more exploring to do in the region.

It is 1 a.m. and yes, we are still up, but even more interesting is we just went outside and saw our Northern Lights. There is very little light 'noise' as we leave the immediate area of the campground. The Northern Lights are faint right now, but they are there!
